Conflict is an integral part of human nature. In our daily lives, conflict can be an obstacle, or a means to go forward, if it is transformed. This online course aims to provide the theory and tools that are necessary for a youth worker who wants to use the techniques of mediation in their work with young people, with the goal of conflict transformation.
Description:
The course is divided into three modules. The first module presents the principles of communication, and useful techniques that can be adopted by a youth worker. The second module includes basic aspects and techniques of negotiation. The third module focuses on the art of mediation, its advantages, and skills and techniques, as presented by professional mediators.
Each chapter of the three modules includes one extensive infographic which will guide the youth worker through the journey of mediation, and will present necessary tools in order to transform the conflict in the final target group of the project, which is young people.
